 Maryland Avenue School is a K-8 neighborhood based Montessori school located in the heart of Milwaukee's historic and culturally diverse East Side. Maryland Avenue School has been a part of the neighborhood for over 110 years. As one of Milwaukee’s original K-8 schools, we provide a quality education that prepares students for high school and beyond.
Our entry age is K3. Parents must apply during the January enrollment period for fall entry for the following year. The child must be 3 on or before September 1. The first enrollment period for the 2009-2010 school year will be January 7 to January 25, 2009.
To apply, the parent must complete an application and present:
A certified copy of the child's birth certificate.
Proof of Milwaukee residency.
The child's immunization records.
Call MPS Central Services at 475-8467 to receive a booklet about school registration.
